Sue S. Acri, CFRE Professional ExperienceSue S. Acri is a senior fundraising executive with more than 20 years of successful experience in capital campaign direction and client service in the nonprofit sector. A frequent speaker at organizations throughout the country, Ms. Acri has consulted with a wide spectrum of nonprofit organizations - hospitals and medical centers, human and social service agencies, four-year and community colleges, youth groups, arts organizations, and national associations. Her breadth of experience includes organizational development, strategic planning, capital campaigns, international fundraising, major gifts, corporate and foundation relations, planned giving, and annual giving. In addition, she has extensive volunteer leadership training and management experience and has worked with a variety of organizations in the areas of board and staff development and strategic planning. Prior to joining Ketchum, Ms. Acri served as an independent consultant specializing in strategic planning, capital campaigns, feasibility and planning studies, annual giving, and foundation and corporate giving. As Vice President of Development for Life Service Systems, Inc. in Greensburg, Pennsylvania, Ms. Acri managed the resource development program, including its annual giving, major gifts, foundation, and grant writing coordination. She also served as Director of Development for Harrisburg Hospital in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and for the York County Association for Retarded Citizens in York, Pennsylvania. Client Experience Ms. Acri has completed successful campaigns at H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center & Research Institute in Tampa, Florida; The Children's Home of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; United Cerebral Palsy in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute in Detroit, Michigan; Upper Chesapeake Health System in Fallston, Maryland; Westtown School in Westtown, Pennsylvania; Temple Oheb Shalom in Baltimore, Maryland; Garrett County Hospital Foundation in Oakland, Maryland; Washington Hebrew Congregation in Washington, D.C.; and the Pittsburgh Glass Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In her role as a supervising officer of the firm, she provides campaign counsel for a variety of organizations and has oversight of planning studies and campaigns for clients throughout the United States.
