The internal assessment consists of a thorough review and analysis of the confidential interviews, analysis of the current state of the development program, analysis of overall infrastructure as it relates to development, and the application of Ketchum's experience in assessing the organization's readiness for intensified fundraising.

Pre-site Visits
In advance of the site visit, the Senior Ketchum Supervisor requests specific materials for the team to review. Some of the materials may include:

• Annual reports, development reports, and other organization publications
• Gift records and other development forms
• Annual giving solicitation samples (2 years)
• Cultivation activities (list of social versus development programs)The President's, Director's, or Administrator's visit calendar for development
• Development and public relations budgets
• Description of information management system (in place or contemplated)

Site Visits and Interviews
Interviewed persons will include any staff or volunteers who have specific fundraising responsibilities. Interviewed persons may include the President, Executive Director, or Administrator, development and public relations staff, other administrators expected to interact with the development function, and representatives of select constituencies.
