Pre-planning Study Counsel
A Ketchum Planning Study Supervisor works with your organization to gather preliminary information on the project and constituent demographics, develop a Case for Support, and create a statistical model or Chart of Standards for the study as well as a timetable for the overall study process. A Study Director is then assigned and fully briefed by the Supervisor and the Ketchum team immediately begins to work to finalize the prospective interview list, the Case for Support, and pertinent gift records, including personal data on study participants.

Planning Study Process
A Planning Study consists of obtaining information through a variety of methods appropriate to your organization and your needs. These may include personal interviews, telephone interviews, focus group meetings, a direct-mail survey, or a web-based survey.

The study is designed to assess each of the following:

• The internal and external image and reputation of the organization and the impact of its public relations program. The priority constituents assign to the project and the proposed campaign.
• Availability of volunteer leadership who demonstrate commitment, interest, and enthusiasm.
• The strengths and weaknesses of a compelling, persuasive, and credible Case for Support.
• The attainability of the proposed objective.
• Adequate resources to fund campaign expenses.
• Professional support for all volunteers.

The Planning Study Presentation
The Study Director and senior officers from Ketchum's management team review and analyze the findings of each study to determine specific and detailed recommendations that are unique to your needs. A comprehensive written report with full statistical and narrative rationale is presented.
